An Evening for Veronica: Community, Caring & Candlelight
The Local Market, 1331 Ashley River Rd, Charleston, SC | Get Directions »
$10.00
Join Save Veronica Supporters (www.saveveronica.org) from around the Lowcountry - and beyond - as we come together as a community to raise awareness about her story, her rights and to support her family. January 28 marks the one-month date since 2-year-old Veronica was ordered by the judge ruling to be taken from her adoptive family. We will stand together in our continued, strengthened fight for her rights.
LOCAL Market and Coffee Bar in West Ashley will host an event from 4-6 p.m. with live music and food and beverages for sale, along with donated art and items from local artists and businesses. Following this family-friendly event there will be a peaceful candlelight ceremony around Colonial Lake in downtown Charleston (starting by 7pm). We will have a moment of prayer for Veronica and pause to rejuvenate in our efforts to bring her HOME!
A suggested donation of $10/adult will be asked for at LOCAL to aid the Capobianco family in facing the mounting legal fees in the fight for their daughter.
If you have contacts - in Charleston or otherwise - to people and businesses who would be willing to donate items for sale to benefit Veronica's family, please reach out to them and have them contact caitlinr@trio-solutions.com. If you haven't done so already, please sign the the petition at www.change.org/petitions/save-veronica. To learn more about her story, go to www.saveveronica.org.
